Upside-Down Cream Of Mushroom Tartlets are delightful bite-sized pastries filled with a creamy mushroom mixture and topped with melted cheese, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat, then sauté the diced onion and sliced mushrooms for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in 1/2 cup of heavy cream, garlic powder, thyme, and season with salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick and cut into circles for the tartlet pans.
  5. Place the pastry circles into the tartlet pans, fill with the creamy mushroom mixture, and top with grated cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool slightly, then invert onto a serving platter and garnish with fresh parsley.
