For the cranberry sauce:
- 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries 🍒
- 1/2 cup sugar 🍚
- 1/2 cup water 💧
- Zest of 1 orange 🍊
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add diced onion, celery, and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 3-5 minutes until softened.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage mixture with cubed bread, chicken broth, and beaten eggs. Mix until well combined.
- Fill greased mini muffin tins with the stuffing mixture, about 3/4 full.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy on the edges.
- While baking, prepare the cranberry sauce by combining cranberries, sugar, water, and orange zest in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Once baked, let the bites cool slightly and serve warm with cranberry sauce on top.
