Description

Sausage Stuffing Bites With Cranberry Sauce are bite-sized treats made from a mixture of Italian sausage, vegetables, and bread, all baked to golden perfection and topped with a luscious cranberry sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups cubed bread (preferably day-old) 🍞
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth 🍗
  • 2 large eggs, beaten 🥚
  • Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish 🌿

For the cranberry sauce:

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries 🍒
  • 1/2 cup sugar 🍚
  • 1/2 cup water 💧
  • Zest of 1 orange 🍊

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add diced onion, celery, and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 3-5 minutes until softened.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage mixture with cubed bread, chicken broth, and beaten eggs. Mix until well combined.
  5. Fill greased mini muffin tins with the stuffing mixture, about 3/4 full.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy on the edges.
  7. While baking, prepare the cranberry sauce by combining cranberries, sugar, water, and orange zest in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  8. Once baked, let the bites cool slightly and serve warm with cranberry sauce on top.
