- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Steamed white rice (for serving)
Instructions
- Slice the beef into thin strips against the grain for tenderness.
- In a bowl, mix cornstarch, flour, salt, pepper, and chili flakes. Coat the beef strips in this mixture.
- Heat oil in a wok or skillet over high heat. Fry the beef strips in batches until crispy, then remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same pan, sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
- Add soy sauce, sugar, cumin, coriander, and water. Stir well and let it simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return the crispy beef to the pan and toss to coat with the sauce.
- Serve over steamed rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
